Journal 10

For essay four, I will consider using my research paper from history class. We had to pick a question from a list that our teacher gave us and answer it in depth. This paper was kind of similar to the stuff we do in this class.Even though we are just now learning how to cite and what formats we use for what I still did good on my paper. It would have helped me on the paper, because sometimes I don’t know when I should cite and when I shouldn’t. For some of the citations that I did do wrong, I’m going to look back over them and see what mistakes I made, and use my book and the website we went over in class to fix them. When writing this paper it helped me to form my thesis statement, and have three of my topic sentences together. I had everything together on what I wanted to write about and I didn’t get off topic once. This class is very helpful when it comes to writing. Before if I would have had a writing assignment, I wouldn’t have known where to begin or even how to start off a paper. The skills I have learned in this class will help me with future assignments,and hopefully help me to pass all my writing courses.

So far I haven’t received any feedback on my essay three. I would like to that way I could get others opinions on how well I did on my essay. I did get a little help from one of my classmates. She helped me write a thesis statement, which helped me with my topic sentences. After that I found it fairly easy to write the rest of my essay. All of my thoughts were able to flow together. When I do look over my draft I want to make sure that I use good transition words for the beginning of my paragraphs as I talk about a new subject. I will probably do this for the next two days to make sure that everything flows together and to make sure I didn’t get off topic. By Monday I will have my final draft, and get some of my peers to read it since I haven’t got any feedback from my group.
